Dear George Bush, So Long and Thanks for the Recession

Mr. President,

The country is in rife and turmoil, economic slumber and entirely void of the passion that once colored the American dream when you took office. And does it surprise me that all Republicans are so busy blaming Democrats for what are actually their own failures, that they have become blinded to how much damage that you have truly done to this once great nation? Well I have not. If it was ever possible to lie to the people more, hire fraudsters like Dick Cheney (who as just indicted on multiple fraud counts in Texas) to run your VP office, and consorting with known lambasting of the American dream, it is you Sir, Mr. President, that has done more damage to this country in just a short, eight year tenure than ever thought possible.

As you leave office with that common cynical smirk upon your face, know this. The economy is worse than it was during the Great Depression. Thanks Bush! The auto industry is broke and failing. Thanks Bush! Crime rate is soaring! Thanks Bush. The mortgage market, the credit market, the banking market internationally, and the real estate market have crashed! Thanks Bush! The stock market has crashed. Thanks Bush! Our reputation as a country abroad, our ideals and values are overlooked and we are more shunned than we have been since the Cold War, which we are on the brink of once again thanks you to. Thanks Bush! In fact, I cannot think of a good think that you have accomplished since you have been in office that has not ruined our country. As it is now, we are spread thin in our military between fighting two wars that we should have never fought, had you not been such a liar. Thanks Bush!

In the end your tenure as President was the worst ever. In fact, I think that Taft was more loved and had a higher approval rating than you do currently, and for good reasons too. The only thing that I can really thank you for is making your Republican Party look so bad, that the entire country swayed to a Democrat so we can try and spend the next eight years cleaning up the trodden mess that you have left us. Again, I reiterate, Thanks Bush, for nothing really, but at least you are gone come January!

Sincerely,

ML - 9467
