OBAMA = POST TURTLE

As a rancher yourself, thought you'd enjoy this...

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old rancher, whose hand was caught in the gate while working cattle,
the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man.
Eventually the topic got around to Obama.

The old rancher said, 'Well, ya know, Obama is a 'Post Turtle''.

Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a 'post turtle' was.
The old rancher said, 'When you're driving down a country road and you come
across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle'.

The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face so he continued to explain.
'You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, and he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, and you just wonder what kind of idiots put him up there to begin with'.

You got that soooooooo right. God Bless us with this guy

None of them got there by themselves.

None of them belong in power when they get there - after all, the first term, everyone's inexperienced.

I think Obama knows he needs to lead, and is showing it. Far better than Bush, who took a month-long vacation his first year in office.

What kind of idiots put him up there to begin with? Well, most of America. Since last time I checked, it's a democratic process... You could go live in a dictatorship if you think the people THOSE idiots picked are better than the idiots WE idiots pick.

The post turtle joke was originally told by the columnist Molly Ivins about George W. Bush. It figures that a lazy Repuke would steal material and try to pass it off as original.

And also Sean, don't put yourself down. The American people you call idiots didn't elect Bush, the Supreme Court did. Several newspapers got together after the Florida election fiasco to determine who actually won the election, since the Supreme Court didn't care. It turns out Al Gore won the election in Florida, but this news didn't come out until shortly after September 11th, so very few media outlets reported it. A few newspapers even led with a misleading headline that if the recount had been made as Gore originally proposed (only the undervotes), then he would have lost. Under every other scenario, a complete recount would have put Gore in the White House, even after Katherine Harris had purged the voter rolls to exclude thousands of minorities that were falsely identified as felons.

The only idiots are the ones who think Bush won the election. He didn't.
